Between the Currents I

It feels like looking down at water meeting land from above. Sweeping planes of pearl and silver-grey fan outward from the centre like parting waves, divided by a warm seam of golden ochre that curves through like a shoreline or sediment layer. Deep teal and navy push in from the lower edges — cool, weighted, fluid — while dark charcoal marks anchor the transitions. Fine, looping pencil lines trace across the surface like tide marks or fault lines. The whole composition has a quiet, aerial grace — two forces meeting, neither yielding.
